Frequently asked questions
The things people ask us most before their first session.
Do I need to be fit to join?
No. You need trainers and a willingness to turn up. Every exercise has an easier and a harder version, and every run is open to every pace.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Coming on your own is fine, and we will introduce you to the group.
What should I bring?
Wear trainers and clothes you can move in, and bring water.
How do I book and pay?
Bookings and payments are handled in the GymCatch app. Choose Book a session on this website to open our GymCatch page. If you do not have the app yet, the same page has a download button. If you have any trouble, email or call us and we will help you book.
Where and when do sessions take place?
Bootcamps are on Mondays and Fridays at 6:15am at Risby Village Hall, starting Friday 6 November 2026. The address is Aylmer Close, Risby, Bury St Edmunds IP28 6RT. From Tuesday 5 January 2027 there are also bootcamps on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:50am at Sybil Andrews Academy, Rougham Tower Avenue, Bury St Edmunds IP32 7QB. Run clubs are coming soon. You can book every class in the GymCatch app.
What if I have an injury or a health condition?
Tell us before you start, by email, by phone or in person, and we will talk through how to adjust the session. If you are unsure whether you should exercise, speak to your GP first.
Can I ask a question before I book?
Yes. Email activesocialclub@outlook.com or call Lewis on 07541 737786 or Alex on 07719 666736.
Ready to come along?
